Cavallo Point Lodge

Mom bought Dad a night at Cavallo Point Lodge for Father's Day. This weekend, we took advantage of that night. It was a perfect weekend to go. The sun was shining in beautiful Sausalito, the property was so full of charm, and the food was....well...perfect! We had 4 meals in a 24 hour period.

Cavallo Point is located in what used to be an old Army Fort. Fort Baker. They retrofitted some of the old Army buildings and brought them in to the 21st century while keeping the property very eco friendly and green.

 We loved our room! We were on the second floor in what was probably an officer's home. It was very unique.

We started our food fest at the bar at Cavallo Point.  Drake Bay Oysters, Crab Croquettes,  Fried Chicken, Flatbread with Salmon and Creme Fraiche, Fries, and few glasses of white wine.

After lunch we spent the afternoon roaming the property, enjoying the view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, and playing in the grass!

Hey you guys! Look at us! 

A great hotel stay is never complete without breakfast in bed. Here I am celebrating my first five months deciding what to eat for breakfast. The truth is I want to eat it all (at least taste it all). Cornmeal pancakes, sourdough waffles, home made toast and jams, and maple glazed bacon....yum.

 We spent some time by the piers. It was such a gorgeous day.

So this is what the Golden Gate looks like from the other side of the Bay.
I've only seen it from the San Francisco side.

Not pictured here on the blog, but still very delicous was our trip to Fish ( a restaurant past downtown Sausalito). How can you go wrong with a a crab roll and deep fried oysters with chips.

Summer is definately here. Its a good thing its much cooler in San Francisco. Its only going to hit 80 today in the city by the Bay. Maybe Mom and Dad will take me down to Chrissy Field today to get some sun.

Happy Father's Day

Oh what a weekend. It was filled with lots of great food and great company. We went down to Fremont on Saturday to celeberate Father's Day weekend. We enjoyed the beautiful summer days. Yes, it felt like summer in the Bay Area this weekend. It was around 80 degrees all weekend and its supposed to hit 90 today in the South Bay. We'll head back to San Francisco this evening to get some cooler termperatures.

On Saturday, we celebrated Father's Day with a feast. I loved seeing Uncle Michael , Auntie Sachiko, and the gang. Im not used to dogs yet, so Mookie, Sasha, Cody, and Homer were a little scary for me, but I still love them. On Sunday, I got a chance to christen the new swimming pool in the Kimotsuki back yard. We also hit the Fremont farmers market and watched lots of Giants baseball and golf! I love summer days!

Grandma Huen has been watching me for the last 2 weeks straight. Friday, she went to go visit Karen and work on getting some finishing touches done in the house in Oakland. Grandma Kimotsuki will be watching me for the next few days now.

Saturday Morning!

Its a beautiful Saturday morning! Mom and Dad got another night with little sleep as I continue to flip over in the middle of the night. I feel well rested as you can tell from the picture. Mom and Dad on the other hand can use a nap. How about from 2PM to 4PM guys?

I Miss Mommy!

 What an eventful weekend. Dad had some of his friends come over last night. I got to meet uncle Conrad, Jason, Roger, Jerry, and Bob. There were lots of aunties too. My favorite was meeting some new friends. Twins (Logan and Reese) that were born 2 weeks after me! I guess since Im the oldest, it will be up to me to help show them the ropes!

Mom left for her first business trip today. She left for New York at 5:30 AM. I was asleep but Dad said she came to say goodbye before she left. I miss her dearly already. I wore my "I love mommy" shirt for you Mommy!
