Great Napa Eats

Well, Im sure glad Mom and Dad had a great food weekend. All weekend long I got dragged from one restaurant to another. I was held by Mom and Dad almost the entire time except when were at Ubuntu and I got to roam about a bit in the booth. Other than that, the only sound I heard was Mom and Dad's. They said mmmm with every bite. Its too bad I couldnt eat any of it. Maybe next time.

Busy Day in Napa

We had one fun packed day in Napa today. Now that everyone's asleep, I can recap the events on the blog. This morning we got up early and hit the complimentary breakfast in the lobby. Then we spent the next couple of hours planning our day. Finally we got ready and headed into the city of Napa for lunch at Ubuntu. What a great place to eat. Half the space is used as a restaurant and the other half is a yoga studio. It was funny to watch the yoga folks walk through the restaurant with their yoga mats in tow while we were eating our lunch. While it was funny to see all these people in the restaurant, the food really stole the show today.  If you are in the hood, and want to get a great vegetarian meal, this is one of the best we've ever had.

After lunch we strolled through downtown Napa to take in the BBQ festival. The smell of BBQ sauce and burning wood chips filled the air, and though we were full from lunch, our mouths were watering. After an hour or so, off we went to Meadowood. We found out its the sister property of the hotel we were staying at, so we could use the pool at Meadowood. Beautiful property by the way!

Here I am looking for coupons. None in this magazine!

Me and Mom

Yo! Check me out.

Where's Mom? Oh there she is behind the camera.

These fingers taste good
3 hours and 2 Lobster BLT sandwiches, we finally made it back to our hotel. Mom and Dad had reservations at Bottega, but after such a long day, we decided to keep dinner light. There's nothing like walking across the street for a delicious Burger and Shake at Taylors. We sat outside on a beautiful night. I even got to see the wine train.
After a long day, here I am catching some Sesame Street on TV

Passed out

Welcome Cuz!

Our family was so excited to meet Cousin Sophie yesterday. We've all been very patient waiting for her arrival. She finally made it on Aug 25. Exactly 7 months after my birthday! The night she was born, Mom and Dad wanted to go over right away to see her, but it was too late in the evening. They didnt sleep all night because they were built up with too much anticipation. Sophie did not disappoint, Shes just as cute as I am. Auntie Karen is doing well. Uncle Roman is really happy. Grandma and Grandpa cant be more proud. I love you Sophie!

Napa

Mom and Dad whisked me away to Napa for the weekend. Staying in St Helena, we decided to walk to dinner last night and headed over to Farmstead. It was one of the best restaurants we've been to in months. The food was spectacular. Everything from the Cheddar Biscuts, to the Gnocchi in lamb ragu sauce was just wonderful. Here we are celebrating two events this weekend. Its my 7 month birthday this week and its Mom and Dad's 8th wedding anniversary.

Quiet on the set!

That's what Dad yelled out today when I became a star. Today Dad decided to film a commercial for his favorite beer, Sapporo Reserve. Of course, he needed someone to play the part of "beer drinker". He chose me. I was excited to land the role but Im not expecting to win a CLIO award for best actor or best commercial. Here is a shot of me taking a break on the set. Feel free to get a preview of my commercial. We will be submitting it to Sapporo later this week. Hope it airs on TV!

Imprisonment

Dad calls this the penalty box, I call it Prison. Its where Dad likes to put me when Im not cooperating. That is until this afternoon when I leaned over the side and faceplanted.....Dad's looking for a new place to imprison me.

Welcome to the Bay Area Gramps

Grandpa Huen finally closed on the house in New York and made his way out to San Francisco on Wednesday. We've been waiting for this day for what seems like an eternity. It just so happened that Grandpa closed on the house on his birthday. When he came to San Francisco, of course we had to celebrate. Mommy bought this wonderful cake and I personally helped to celebrate by blowing out the candle and providing hours of entertainment for Gramps.

Jackets

If you live in San Francisco, you need to have lots of jackets. Its August and this morning it was 60 degrees. So Mommy and Daddy bought me a new fleece. Voila.

Im a mover and a shaker

This afternoon we had to make a pit stop into Mommy's office. So while we were there I rolled up my sleeves and thought Id get a little bit of work done myself. I sat at Mommy's desk and made some trades to move the market.

Placing my bets that next week will see lots of upside on the market! Go Bulls!

Movin on up! View from Mommy's office

Happy 70th Birthday Grandpa

On Sunday, we celebrated Grandpa Kimotsuki's 70th birthday. I hadn't seen Grandma and Grandpa Kimotsuki in a few weeks, so I was anxious to see them. We started off with dinner at Mamacita's on Chestnut (love Mexican food) and topped it off with some birthday cake and ice cream. Happy Birthday Grandpa!
