Fleet Week

Blue Angels flying over the Golden Gate Bridge

Its that time of year again. Fleet Week. All the streets in the Marina are full of out of towners, there a roof top parties on top of every building, parking is impossible to find in the area, sailors and Marines litter the streets, and the Marina green is covered in tents representing the Navy, Coast Guard, and Marines. The highlight of it all is the air show featuring the Blue Angels. They whisk around at blazing speeds showing off what it means to have precision flying and display powerful and agile maneuvers. Mom and Dad let me watch some of the show from our window, and then walked  me down to the Marina Green for the Blue Angels. What a treat.

The Blue Angel's C130 nicknamed Fat Albert signals the start of the show.
